The National PanHellenic Council Inc., Charlotte Chapter to host the annual the "Black & White Gala. An elegant evening of fun, celebration, and scholarship.


Charlotte, NC— October 14, 2021 — The National PanHellenic Council Inc., Charlotte Chapter is pleased to announce the 2022 date for the annual Black & White Gala with the theme “Coming to America.”


The National PanHellenic Council Inc., Charlotte Chapter is pleased to host the

annual Black and White gala in observation of our commitment to scholarship and

education. This year's theme, pulling inspiration from the continental African diaspora, is "Coming to America.”


The Black and White Gala was established with the intention of celebrating the

Educator Scholarship Recipients and raise funds to continue our scholarship endeavors.

For the 2021 – 2022 school year, the Charlotte chapter was able to award scholarships to

five educators all dedicated to the enrichment of students from at risk socio-economic

areas of Charlotte. We encourage our guest to join us adorned in their best African attire

or your best cocktail/formal ware.


The Coming to America Gala will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 7:00PM –

12:00 AM EST, at the Oasis Shriners, 604 Doug Mayes Place, Charlotte, NC 28262. Tickets are available via:

The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) was founded on May 10, 1930 at Howard

University in Washington, DC. The chartering organizations were: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. In 1931, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., joined the council, followed by Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. in 1937. The NPHC incorporated under the laws of the State of Illinois in 1937. Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. joined the NPHC as its ninth (9th) affiliate member in 1997.
